Here Dr. Rebowe discusses Botox while performing the service on a patient. This particular patient is 25 years old. This is a very popular trend among younger generations and it is called "Baby Botox".

Male Botox - "Brotox" - With Dr. Rebowe at The Park Clinic

Most people associate Botox treatments with just women, however, Botox is becoming more and more popular among the male population. In this video, Dr. Ryan Rebowe discusses why men may even need Botox treatments more than women. Much of that has to do with stronger facial muscles that create deeper frown and furrow lines that show up earlier than they do with most women.

Both Dr. Rebowe and Dr. Park have a large following of male Botox consumers. If you are interested in speaking with one of them about the treatment be sure to give us a call today at (251) 340-6600.

Dr. Park dives deep on the minimally invasive procedures, injectables, fillers, and lasers for the eyes, lips, and the forehead. Today, there are so many options for immediate, painless, and effective choices and techniques to get back those last ten years. Erasing all those years all start with a consultation with Dr. Christopher Park or another certified and qualified plastic surgeon.

Key Takeaways

2. Injectibles, fillers, and lasers have come a long way and have made some older plastic surgery procedures obsolete.
3. Nicotine use will impair any plastic surgery goals and outcomes.
4. Lasers are used for a wide range of plastic surgery procedures.
5. Neurotoxins are easy to apply and highly effective but temporary.

Quotes:

"Botox is botulinum toxin. It's the toxin that causes botulism, but it's like one-millionth of the dose. It's safe and an amazing little drug." - Dr. Christopher Park

"Superficial peels aren't going to do as much change, but we'll use those more superficial peels when you don't need as much or if you're younger." - Dr. Christopher Park

"With a peel you're treating the whole surface and skipping a segments. You're not going deeper in the skin. With the laser, you can adjust every pulse from weaker or stronger and you can also target the little beams of light so you can go deeper in the skin than a peel." - Dr. Christopher Park

"If somebody just wants healthier skin and not have any downtime we are going to recommend something like a hydrafacial." - Dr. Christopher Park

"More aggressive chemical peels it can take a week or so to recover. You still may be red at that point, but you can cover it with makeup once it's healed." - Dr. Christopher Park

"Collagen injections are what we did at first. But now we use a variety of fillers. The most common fillers are hyaluronic acid, and it can be manufactured so that there's minimal risk of a true allergic reaction." - Dr. Christopher Park

"There's a variety of fillers that plastic surgeons use for whatever we think we need it for. It's like giving me multiple size brushes to paint with instead of having one brush." - Dr. Christopher Park

"Your natural body fat can work for facial fat grafting and volume restoration, but you can get some unpredictability. The newer manufactured fillers and volumizer injectibles are very predictable." - Dr. Christopher Park

Introducing the Restylane Kysse Filler - The Park Clinic

Check out the newest filler offered by Galderma that we've added to our inventory at the Med Spa at The Park Clinic!

Lips lose volume, color, and elasticity with age. Restylane Kysse is a lip filler that adds volume, smooths upper lip lines for up to one year, and enhances lip color. Designed specifically for the movement of lips, Restylane Kysse is made with XpresHAn Technology’s™ innovative cross-linking gel for precise, natural-looking results.

The Med Spa at The Park Clinic offers a wide range of lip and tear trough fillers. We have an extensive Restylane inventory to offer to patients. All of our Restylane fillers are priced at $600 per syringe. As you will see in the video, one syringe of filler goes a very long way. For those who are new to fillers, these injectables have a much longer life span than neurotoxins such as Botox and Dysport. Fillers usually last 6 months versus every 8 weeks with neurotoxins. This is important to know since lip fillers are priced much higher than neurotoxins. It is also very important to know that fillers and neurotoxins are utilized to achieve different cosmetic results.

How Much Lip Filler Is In One Syringe? - The Park Clinic for Plastic Surgery

Dr. Park and Dr. Rebowe get asked often about how much filler is in one syringe of filler. Most often this is asked because the patient is worried about looking "over-filled".

In this video, Dr. Rebowe places the filler from one CC of Versa onto a piece of gauze to illustrate the volume of a single syringe.

Non Surgical Nose Job - "Liquid Rhino" - The Park Clinic for Plastic Surgery

Dr. Chris Park of The Park Clinic shows viewers how fillers can be used to create a more even contour to the nose. There are many who have a minor insecurity regarding the aesthetic of their nose, but such cases do not warrant a rhinoplasty. Sometimes the look a patient desires can be achieved with just a few injections of filler (Restylane, Juvederm, Versa, etc.). This is a neat video that shows viewers how that is done and shows before & after photos.

Fillers are used to fill in or plump areas where tissue has been lost or was always deficient. As the face ages, volume is lost and there are a variety of options for filling the face. Superficially, the most common fillers are Hyaluronic Acid, which has become a huge component of cosmetic surgery and skin care. There are a variety of products which come from different sources or have different preparations, with some variability in durability (Restylane®, Perlane®, Juvederm®, Belotero®, Voluma, etc.). Hyaluronic acid is a glycosaminoglycan which is a normal component of skin and the human body and is important in skin hydration. Its presence attracts water, thickening skin in the area of injection. Since it is a naturally occurring substance, an allergic reaction to hyaluronic acid is not possible although it is possible to have an allergic reaction to a preservative in a particular product. Hyaluronic acids are thin liquids which are easy to inject and are ready off the shelf. Hyaluronic acid products are frequently used for fine wrinkles, perioral creases, lips, and smile lines by injecting in the mid-dermis. Topical anesthetic or field blocks are frequently used, but now these products are available pre-mixed with lidocaine. The major uses for hyaluronic acid for are small wrinkle filling especially around the mouth, conservative lip filling to blunt wrinkles, and minor depressions.

Mid – depth, Radiesse® is the most common mid depth filler used in The Medspa at the Park. It is a long-lasting (18 month) injectable filler made with calcium hydroxyapatite, a normal component of bone that stimulates new collagen growth. This is a biocompatible filler that does not require skin testing. We typically use Radiesse® for deeper folds and troughs, such as the nasolabial folds, prejowl sulcus, hollow temples, and aging hands.

Deep, Sculptra® is a biocompatible poly-L-lactic acid, FDA approved for the restoration of atrophy associated with the loss of fat in HIV, but is frequently used for aesthetics. The effects are not immediate and are cumulative. It is used deep to provide fullness rather than specific wrinkle filling. Typically 3–4 treatments are needed spaced out by 1-2 months to gradually increase the thickness of the skin and the face. This restores the appearance that occurs due to deeper changes such as bone loss and fat loss with age.

Fat can be harvested from one area, prepared, and injected in other areas to treat deep wrinkles, depressions, skin folds, areas of fat atrophy, and thin lips. Some fat resorption occurs over the first year with fat injection and may lead to irregularities but with the appropriate techniques employed by Dr. Park using tiny aliquots of fat well distributed in multiple planes, this risk is minimized. Some fat stem cells are transplanted with fat grafting and remain viable long-term, reversing some of the damage done by other mechanisms, such as sun, radiation, aging, etc.

Laser Hair Removal - Underarm

Our medical spa is equipped with top of the line devices. One that we are very excited about is our Lumenis device. Here our aesthetician, Tabitha, demonstrates how the Lumenis device works with laser hair removal of the underarms.

We can treat multiple areas for laser hair removal:
- underarms
- bikini/brazilian
- legs (full and partial)
- upper lip
- chin
- shoulders
- back
- glabella (between brows)

Laser hair reduction works best on darker hair as the melanin (pigment that gives the hair its color) absorbs the laser energy in the form of heat. This process targets and destroys hair follicles to stop or slow hair growth. For maximum results, most patients require a series of at least 6 treatments. Depending on the area being treated, treatments should be scheduled every 4-8 weeks to ensure hair growth has fully cycled. Plucking or waxing the area is NOT recommended, as the hair follicle will need to be intact for the laser to interact properly. For this reason, you may be asked to shave the area the day prior to treatment. Sun exposure should be limited and sunless tanner should be avoided all together. We also recommend “touch-up” treatments a few times a year to maintain results.

As you can see in the video, patients tolerate this particular treatment very well. Depending on the area being treated the treatment can last anywehre from a few seconds to 45 minutes. During treatment, you may feel a sensation of heat. Post treatment, minor swelling and redness can occur. This is usually minimal and subsides within minutes to 24 hours. Patients may resume normal activities with little to no discomfort.

Microdermabrasion - The PR Medical Spa

Tabitha and Brittany discuss our microdermabrasion services offered at The Park & Rebowe Clinic for Plastic Surgery's medical spa. It can improve the appearance of sun damage, wrinkles, fine lines, age spots, acne scarring, melasma, and other skin-related concerns and conditions. Silagen & BioCorneum for Scar Treatment - The PR Med Spa

Tabitha and Brittany, our medical aestheticians, take a timeout to discuss Silagen and BioCorneum products with our viewers. These two products are some of our go-to products for scar therapy. In fact, we love it so much, that we include them with some of our cosmetic surgery purchases such as Tummy Tucks, Belt Lipectomies, Breast Lifts, Facelifts, and many others. These products help our patients protect the investments they make when electing cosmetic surgery. Patients undergo body-altering surgeries and if the surgical sites are not properly maintained throughout the healing process they can sometimes be left with scars that they are unhappy with. Pairing these large surgeries with these skin care products is our formula for significantly reducing the chances of patients having scarring.
