Breast Implant Surgery — Mobile Inframammary

Breast implant surgery is a common solution among women seeking to increase their bust size. Incisions are made in various locations based on the goals and suggestions of your surgeon. During the consultation, you and Dr. Chris Park will discuss which incision options are appropriate for your intended outcome.
Breast implant surgery may be inserted through four alternate approaches. An inframammary incision is located just above the breast fold underneath the breast and provides the best way to place the implant and modify breast shape or position. This is the most common incision in the U.S. and in the world.
The method of inserting and positioning your implant will depend on your anatomy and your surgeon’s recommendation. The incision can be made in the crease where the breast meets the chest, around the areola, in the armpit, or through the belly button. Every effort will be made to assure that the incision is placed so resulting post-surgical marks will be as inconspicuous as possible.
This incision is usually well hidden by bras or bikinis and can be difficult to see if it heals well or lies in the new inframammary fold. For more details about breast implant surgery, contact the office of Dr. Park, which is located in Mobile, Alabama.
