Rosacea is a common skin condition affecting an estimated 14 million patients in the United States. Laser technology options such as IPL, PDL and YAG are mainstays of non-drug therapy for treating skin discolorations and recalcitrant rosacea. Swelling, redness and overall recovery can be dramatically reduced by using these laser treatments.

Patients with rosacea are primarily affected in the face, neck and back regions and range between the ages of 30 to 60. A common denominator for rosacea is fair skin. It is also more common in women. The condition starts with blushing or flushed skin similar to a sunburn, but the discoloration could turn into what looks like acne and become more permanent as well.
